TVP at UN Rio+20 "The Future we want" global conference

just finished writing a vision named "Absolute freedom and human rights"

I pasted in the "Paradise or oblivion" video, with a following text:

"In 2030, I'll be 40-year-old man, just the right age, some might say. Probably have a kid or two.

I'd like for my kids that they don't HAVE TO work what they don't want. I'd like them to be able to pursue their own interests, to use whatever resources they can to achieve the best of their abilities. I want them not to worry about food, energy, water or ability to communicate freely to whomever they want.

Today I live in a country that is about to get inside European Union, Croatia. It has nearly unlimited supplies of fresh clean drinkable water. Every day I watch this jewel being carved stone by stone by corporations eager to put a dent into this untouched nature. I've seen neighboring countries brought down to their knees once they entered the union, people being hired for minimum wages on day-ago their own crop fields. I want not my children to worry about this like I do.

I'm sick of corporations and governments destroying valuable resources to make artificial scarcity just in order to keep the price high. I do want technology to take over jobs, unnecessary ones. To free the men of hard labor. We have the means to do so, only thing that's holding us back is the money itself. We have plenty of energy to tap into, solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, tidal energy. Each alone could provide for everyone in abundance.

I'm a volunteer firefighter, I've been so from the very start of my primary school. I was taught to really serve and protect, not for money, but for people. Army, police, medical service, they all work for money. The military is made out of money, and governments fear that they will lose it. The police often arrests small thieves, who are no more then a victim of (money-based) society, while the big thieves and organisations somehow always stay out of reach, until a rival, more powerful organisation see them as threat. I don't even want to start with pharmacy, creating diseases only they have an expensive cure for. Volunteer (and professional) firemen are the only thing that stands between people and hostile nature. be it fire, flood, drought or snow.

Let's all become voluntary firemen for the society, lets extinguish this raging fire of banks and corporations once and for all. Lets bring resource based economy to life, and save the endangered planet and all its diversity of life.

nice! will work on a letter...

I suppose people posting sample letters here is not a good idea to avoid getting too much copy paste and risking that letters become too similar to one another? At first I thought it would be useful for inspiration but on the other hand there's that risk of having similar letters and that might not be good what do you think? Cheers.
